Few things are as important to The Verge as keeping the internet free and fair for everyone, and that’s why we supported the FCC when it passed net neutrality provisions in 2015. The Open Internet Order codified the principles of net neutrality, established a level playing field by, among other provisions, preventing internet service providers from throttling certain sites — including ones they own — over others.
