Meizu claims its new 55W Super mCharge #technology can fully charge a phone in 20 minutes

Until someone manages to figure out how to get truly wireless charging to work in a practical way, we’re stuck with regular wired chargers. But if we’re stuck getting tethered down to the nearest outlet by a USB cord for the foreseeable future, it may as well be a fast one. And Meizu’s new Super mCharge technology — recently announced at Mobile World Congress — might be the fastest charging solution we’ve seen yet.
Super mCharge is rated at 55W (at 11V/5A), which is dramatically more power than Motorola’s 28.5W TurboPower or Qualcomm’s 18W Quick Charge 3.0 methods.
