Acer announces new 2-in-1 with silent, fanless cooling system

Today Acer announced two new 2-in-1 devices that broaden its Switch product lineup. The new top-of-the-line device, the Switch 5, features an integrated fingerprint sensor in the power button, as well as Windows Hello support. But more importantly, at least to Acer, is its fanless “Liquid Loop” cooling system.
The company introduced this technology in the Switch Alpha 12, the original 2-in-1 in the lineup, but now the silent cooling system is expanding to more machines. The Switch 5 also features a 12-inch Full HD (2160×1440) touch display and ships with the Acer Active Stylus. It’ll be available with the seventh-generation Intel Core i7 and i5 processors, too.
