HQ trivia app launches in the UK

Triva app HQ is moving worldwide. As spotted by The Next Web, the app has launched in the UK with questions specific to its culture and politics. Where HQ in the states is typically hosted by Scott Rogowsky, British host Sharon Carpenter will quiz players every Monday and Wednesday at 3PM local time.

TNW notes that the initial game kicked off with a modest prize pot of $500, but included a notably smaller competitive pool of roughly` 5,000 players. In the US, HQ recently hit a major milestone of 1 million players participating in its live trivia game; it’s also expanding from its initial iOS platform to Android.
